May 2008 - Millennium/KWS Suzuki Battles Through Injury to Get Another Top Ten Finish
Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg’s Ben Thompson returned to action this week at Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City, Utah. Thompson broke both of his hands in a crash at California Speedway five weeks earlier and had to have two titanium plates and fourteen screws installed in his right hand. Although healed, Thompson struggled with strength, endurance, and dexterity through out the weekend.

May 2008 - Lee Acree Injured at Infineon
Acree got a great start for the Superstock race and spent the majority of the race battling for fourth position with Blake Young, Chris Paris, and Jason Pridmore. The four riders where only separated by a few tenths of a second and switch positions several times. On lap fourteen Acree got a great drive out of turn four and was closing quickly on former World Endurance Champion Jason Pridmore, when suddenly Pridmore’s engine failed and he slowed rapidly. With only a few bike lengths separating the two riders at well over 130mph there was no time to react and Acree made hard contact with the back of Pridmore’s Suzuki.

April 2008 - Lee Acree to Ride at Infineon
Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg’s rider Ben Thompson is out of commission following a violent crash at California Speedway last week in which Thompson broke his right hand. Thompson had surgery Monday with famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. Arthur Ting. Due to Thompson’s injury, Millennium/KWS Suzuki has decided to bring in Lee Acree to ride in Thompson’s place at Infineon Raceway.

April 2008 - Fontana 2008
Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg rider Ben Thompson was injured in Superbike practice at California Speedway Friday morning. Thompson is coming off his first top five AMA finish last week at Barber Motorsports Park and was seventh quickest in Friday morning’s Superstock practice before his crash.

Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg had an excellent weekend at Barber Motorsports Park. This was the teams first outing on their new 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000’s and despite some initial set up issues the team was able to pull everything together for their first top five finish of the year.

March 2008 - Daytona 2008
Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg finished eleventh in the AMA Superstock race Thursday at Daytona International Speedway with rider Ben Thompson. Thompson also finished seventeenth in the Superbike race on Saturday. Through out the weekend the team showed great speed but had some problems during the races that affected the end results.

Feb 2008 - 2008 Season Announcement
Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Suzuki of Orangeburg is proud to announce its participation in the 2008 AMA Superbike and Superstock series with rider Ben Thompson. Millennium/KWS Suzuki will compete on 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000’s with support from Dunlop tires. Millennium Technologies will be returning for the eighth consecutive year as the title sponsor.
